Into the National Park of Ranthambore

This park is located in the Sawai Madhopur district in the southeastern part of Rajasthan and is almost about 130 kms from Jaipur.
About the park
The Park was formerly considered to be one of the foremost grounds for hunting. The Maharajas of Jaipur would frequent this park and this is how this National Park was considered to be one of the major National Parks in the country.

The Park today stands as an interesting and a tourist friendly location in India. This park is known to be one of the most amazing destinations to visit in India. Apart, from the several forts and fortresses in Rajasthan, this National Park also ranks among the highest tourist – friendly destinations. The Park is believed to have been spread across an area of approximately 1,334 sq km and has some of the most popular sanctuaries surrounding it. The Mansingh Sanctuary and the Kaila Devi Sanctuary are some of the most popular ones. The park is known to be one of the famous sites for spotting tigers and also considered to be one of the most remarkable locations in India. This place has been rated as a “World Heritage Site”.
Activities to do in the Park
The most interesting and the popular activity is of course to take the wildlife safari. There are safari vans which are available at the location and tourists are advised to take these vans and buses and head into the forest. Please do not try to venture out on your own, since the place is dangerous with wild animals in the place.
You can spot the tigers, leopards and cheetahs here. These are primarily considered to be the most interesting animals to spot. You can also head into the forests on an elephant back from the sanctuary entrance.
Apart, from spotting wildlife, you can get to explore the vast corners of the forest. It is recommended that the tourists visit this place on a guided tour.
